by imaginsice.
I bought some of these cos they are sooooooo pretty, but my goodness are they hard to use!! The 'rhinestones' are on a separate acetate overlay which has sticky tabs on which somehow managed to remove half of the rub-ons befroe I started, and then when I actually wanted to remove the rub-ons I had the devils own job!! THe ones I rested my hands on by accident as I was 'rubbing off' another one transferred beautifully to my page but the one I was actually trying to get off resisted the lolly stick provided, my embossing tool which I usually use to transfer rub ons, an empty biro I sometimes use as back-up, wouldn't! and I finally dislodged the blooming thing (well the majority of it anyway!!) with a bone folder!!
Its a shame cos they really are very pretty (which is why I ended up with about 4 packs!!) but I think I will be going back to my stamps!!!
ok had another chance to play with these and the white and gold ones aren't quite so bad, they are still devils to get off, but they will actually come off eventually although you have to be carefull lining up all the edges where bits are left behind and so on!And when they are on the page they look very 'wrinkled' somehow!

Have you tried putting them somewhere warm for about 10mins before you use them. I've heard that this can help. I tend not to use rub ons as I have similar problems to you! _________________ Tracy |

yes, in fact they were on the table in the window, so in full sun! Blooming things! I wouldn't mind but I tend to use rubons a lot, although mainly letters, and apart from some dodgy papermania ones haven't had any problems! Oh well, they are in the bin now anyway!! |

Complain to the manufacturer - I've had some great responses. US manufacturers seem much more customer focused than a lot of UK ones.
